The The Postsecondary Education and Training Group belongs to American Farm School which stands out in its long history (since 1904) for its dual character as a productive and educational organization. Today the range of its commercial products mainly includes three products of high added value available in strictly limited quantities. Pasteurized milk, the premium category "O-3 eggs" and turkey. These three basic products are proof of the timeless innovative concept of AGS, which created the first pasteurization unit in Greece in 1935, in the late 1960s introduced the systematic breeding of turkeys, while the first Ω3 eggs were released on the Greek market in 1997 in collaboration with AUTH. This successful strategy is based on three pillars: the vertical farm of AGS (including the purebred Holstein herd) which guarantees the quality of its products, the high level of its scientific and technical human resources and the long-term cooperation with universities and research organizations both in matters of research and development, as well as as an institution for student internships. At a systemic level, its dual character forces the ACS to act as an "innovation mediator" between research organizations and the agri-food sector. AGS plays this role on the one hand through institutional collaborations, such as the one with the Alexandria Innovation Zone, participation in the Central Macedonia Regional Innovation Pole and participation in the Central Macedonia Agri-Food Partnership, and on the other hand through the consulting and training services it offers to producers and businesses. These services are offered nationwide in collaboration with businesses, agri-food entrepreneurship centers and Greek and international universities. AGS's action in the role of innovation mediator guarantees that the product, process and business model innovations it implements are made available to the agri-food sector, thus acquiring a strong multiplier dimension.
The The National Interprofessional Meat Organisation (NIO) It is the first interprofessional organization of its kind, and its establishment is the result of a long-term process that began in the early part of the decade and was completed with the participation of the most important professional bodies in the meat sector, supported by all relevant livestock organizations. It is part of the broader European Commission strategy for promoting interprofessional activities and fosters dialogue among its members as well as with institutional bodies, aiming to create interventions that will highlight the sector and lead its members toward growth. The utilization of the interprofessional body is a powerful tool for fostering a shared understanding of market self-regulation rules, while at the same time, the organization has the capacity to shape policy for the sector in collaboration with the state.
